Family Support

  • School Supplies and Backpacks: Available to students enrolled in pre-k through 12th grade in rural Clay county. Clients must pre-register for this program. Watch for announcements on social media or call for more information. Clients must live in rural Clay County to receive this service.
  • BackPack Program: REACH collaborates with the Great Plains Food Bank, North Country Food Bank, and Feeding America to provide nutritious support to children.
    Children participating in the program receive kid-friendly, shelf-stable items such as cereal, soup, fruit, granola bars, and easy-to-prepare individual meals. It currently costs $8.00 to fill each backpack bag with these items. Monetary donations for the BackPack Program are greatly appreciated, as REACH can purchase food through the Great Plains Food Bank at a nominal cost. Clients must reside in rural Clay County to receive services offered by REACH.
  • Winter Gear: Available to children ages 0-18 in rural Clay county. Clients must pre-register for this program.

REACH Driving Program

Senior Driving Program

REACH’s Driving Program for older adults can be used for medical appointments locally and in the Fargo-Moorhead or Detroit Lakes areas. A suggested donation of $20 for each out-of-town trip and $5 for each in-town trip is encouraged and appreciated, but no rider will be denied due to inability to donate. This is a volunteer based program and REACH cannot guarantee a driver will be available for every ride request. Rider Eligibility: 60 years of age or older. Physically and mentally independent. Live in the Hawley, Hitterdal, Ulen, Felton and Glyndon areas. Must pre-register for program to request a ride. If you are interested in being registered for this program or to volunteer as a driver, please call the REACH office at 218-483-3145

Frozen Meal Program

Introducing our Frozen Meal Program for seniors – a culinary journey of convenience and nutrition. Specially curated, chef-inspired frozen meals ensure delicious and balanced dining for older adults. Many can enjoy the ease of home-delivery, while others may need to come and pick up from our admin office. We offer wholesome goodness, providing seniors with a flavorful and effortless solution for their dietary needs at no cost.

REACH Reusables Hawley

REACH Reusables Secondhand Store is conveniently located in Hawley, Minnesota. In addition to providing vouchers to clients for basic necessities, REACH Reusables provides the general public an affordable place to shop. The store has many volunteer opportunities available and accepts donations of new or gently used items during store hours. Proceeds from REACH Reusables help fund REACH programs and services.

REACH Thrift Store

Career Services

REACH also offers career services for men and women entering or re-entering the workforce. We provide clothing for interviews and career appropriate clothing once a job is secured. We also help clients build skills in resume writing and interview etiquette. These services are available to anyone and are not bound by the boundaries of our service area.
